(RED), the organization founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver in 2006 to fight AIDS and global health injustices, has joined forces with popular digital collectibles brand Okay on its mission to spread hope through art and code.
At NFT.NYC the two organizations announced they are joining forces to release a limited-edition collection of Okay Bears-(RED) merchandise, including wristbands, hoodies and t-shirts. A portion of every sale will help benefit the Global Fund, one of the world's largest funders of global health.

“Okay Bears represents a culture shift in charitable fundraising, using digital collectibles for positive community impact and global change for good. Today’s announcement is another example of our commitment to this important work,” said Peter Gould, Chief Communications Officer at Okay Bears. “We’re proud to collaborate with (RED) and build on our shared history of using merchandise and digital collectables to combat the most important human rights issues of our time.”

“If we want to end the threat of AIDS, we must think outside the box, meet consumers where they are, and create new and exciting collaborations that generate more money and more heat to fight AIDS and the injustices that enable the pandemics to thrive,” said Greg Sheps, Head of Business of Development at (RED). “Last year, (RED)’s first blockchain art collaboration raised $660,000 for global health. (RED) is thrilled to continue our foray into the digital art space by collaborating with Okay Bears to drive life-saving testing, treatment and care to those who need it most.”
